John Dean Announces Candidacy
John Dean, 60, of Camano Island, will stand for re-election to the District 3 (North Whidbey and Camano Island) seat on the Board of Island County Commissioners this year. Dean was the Democratic candidate for the Board of Commissioners, District 3, in 2006 and won a landslide victory after a 25-year community journalism career with the Stanwood/Camano NEWS, where he was editor and associate publisher.

People for Tom Riggs celebrated the announcement of Tom Riggs’ bid for the office of State Representative for 10th Legislative District, Position 2. The event was hosted at the Camano Island home of State Senator Mary Margaret Haugen on Monday, June 21.
